Chapter 10 - The Unshakable BondThe wedding at the Costello estate in Westchester was not a high-society media circus.

It was an intimate gathering of family, trusted friends, and the people who had stood together through fire and silence.

The glass conservatory was filled to bursting with white hydrangeas, ivy, and climbing roses. String quartets played softly in the background, their classical notes drifting out into the sprawling, sunlit gardens.

Standing beneath a grand floral arch at the front of the conservatory was Gabriel, looking impossibly handsome in a classic black tuxedo, his eyes fixed entirely on the glass double doors at the end of the aisle.

The doors swung open.

I walked down the aisle on Nathan’s—no, on Marco’s? No, walking beside Beatrice, who held my hand tightly with one arm while signing rapid, encouraging words of love into the air with the other.

I wore a timeless, elegant gown of Chantilly lace and ivory silk. But the most important detail of the day wasn't the dress, the flowers, or the guests.

It was the quiet, profound stillness of the room.

When I reached the altar, Beatrice stepped back with a glowing smile, taking her seat in the front row next to a very emotional, very proud mother of the bride.

Gabriel stepped forward, taking my hands in his. His palms were warm, steady, and completely unshakeable.

The officiant began the ceremony, reciting vows of loyalty, partnership, and enduring love. But as Gabriel looked down at me, he didn't just speak the words aloud for the hundred guests to hear.

Slowly, awkwardly, but with absolute, fierce determination, Gabriel raised his own hands.

He stumbled slightly on the grammar, his fingers fumbling over the signs, but the meaning was unmistakable, translated straight from his heart to mine:

I love you. Forever.

Tears spilled over my eyelashes. I raised my hands, signing back with all the love and strength I possessed:

And I love you. Always.

When the officiant pronounced us husband and wife, Gabriel pulled me into his arms and kissed me—deep, passionate, and absolute.

The conservatory erupted into thunderous applause, cheers, and joyous laughter. In the front row, Beatrice stood up clapping, her eyes shining with tears of pure happiness, signing wildly to anyone who would watch:

That’s my family! And nobody will ever break us!

Later that evening, as the stars came out over the Westchester estate and the music drifted across the manicured lawns, I stood on the stone balcony with Gabriel’s arms wrapped around my waist, looking out at the world we had built together from silence, survival, and unyielding truth.

The waitress from Il Canto was gone.

The lonely billionaire syndicate boss was gone.

In their place stood a family—bonded by a language the world had tried to ignore, but which had ultimately conquered everything.
