Speaker Mike Johnson Leaves White House Meeting and Makes an EPIC Announcement

WASHINGTON D.C. — House Speaker Mike Johnson is taking a victory lap. In a fiery interview on Fox News, Johnson dismantled the Democratic narrative on the economy, blaming "Bidenomics" for the nation's financial woes while celebrating the roaring success of Republican policies.

Speaking with Bill Hemmer and Dana Perino, Johnson pointed to a staggering 5% growth rate and five-year low gas prices as proof that the GOP has cleaned up the "mess" left by the previous administration.

"BIDENOMICS MESS"

Johnson wasted no time attacking the root cause of the inflation crisis. When asked about President Biden's claims that affordability issues are a "hoax," the Speaker didn't hold back.

"It is Bidenomics that got us into this mess," Johnson declared. "It is Bidenomics, the outrageous spending levels that drove inflation to 40-year highs."

He contrasted the Biden years with the immediate results seen since Republicans took control.

"We did exactly what we said we were going to do: bring down inflation, cut taxes and grow the economy... Now, inflation is going down, gas prices at a five-year low, the growth rate is over 5%."

Johnson added that even conservative economists thought such numbers were "unimaginable," calling it a vindication of "Trump policies."

"AOC IS WRONG AS USUAL"

The Speaker also took aim at Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), who has criticized the new Stop Insider Trading Act. Johnson dismissed her complaints as ignorance.

"AOC is wrong as usual; she clearly hasn’t read the legislation," Johnson said. "It bans trading stocks for anyone in Congress."

He emphasized that the bill was written by "rank-and-file members," not wealthy elites, to restore the public's faith in Washington. "AOC as usual has no idea what she’s talking about."

DEFENDING ICE

Finally, Johnson slammed the "radical" calls from Democrats to defund and abolish ICE, specifically referencing the crisis in sanctuary cities like Minneapolis.

"It is estimated more than 20 million people came in... A lot of them have collected in cities like Minneapolis," Johnson warned.

He argued that Democrats are "assaulting our law enforcement officers" while ICE attempts to apprehend dangerous criminals.

"They need to get out of the way and allow federal law enforcement to do its duty," Johnson concluded. With the economy booming and the border being enforced, Johnson predicts the American people will "reward that at the ballot box" in November.

DOJ Warns Pelosi, Calif. Dems Over Threats to Arrest Federal Agents

U.S. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche has issued a direct warning to California officials and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi over their threats to impede federal immigration enforcement and arrest ICE agents.

In a formal letter sent Thursday, Blanche told Gov. Gavin Newsom, Attorney General Rob Bonta, San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins, and Pelosi that federal officers are lawfully executing their duties, and any attempt to interfere is both “illegal and futile.”

The extraordinary letter follows public remarks from Pelosi and Rep. Kevin Mullin, who on Wednesday threatened to arrest federal agents if they violated California law during an anticipated immigration raid in the Bay Area.

Pelosi and Mullin accused the Trump administration of “abusing law enforcement power” and claimed that President Donald Trump’s agents could face state prosecution.

“Reports of a planned mass immigration raid in the Bay Area are an appalling abuse of law enforcement power,” Pelosi and Mullin said in their joint statement. “While the President may enjoy absolute immunity courtesy of his rogue Supreme Court, those who operate under his orders do not. … The people of San Francisco will continue to stand with the patriotic immigrants who are the constant reinvigoration of America.”

Blanche responded swiftly, posting on X that his office had sent the letter ordering California Democrats to stand down.

“We just sent them a letter: Stand down or face prosecution,” Blanche wrote. “No one threatens our agents. No one will stop us from Making America Safe Again.”

The DOJ letter cites multiple federal statutes that make it a crime to assault, impede, or conspire against federal officers. It also invokes the Supremacy Clause of the U.S. Constitution, which establishes that state and local authorities cannot prosecute federal officials acting within the scope of their duties.

Blanche directed Newsom, Bonta, Pelosi, and Jenkins to “preserve all written and electronic communications and records related to any attempts or efforts to impede or obstruct federal law enforcement officials.”
